What are CEREC Crowns?
CEREC crowns are milled from a solid block of porcelain, using advanced CAD/CAM technology. This produces a precision-fitted crown that is high quality, durable and aesthetically pleasing.
What is the process for a CEREC Crown?
Your tooth will be prepared in the normal way, but instead of taking an impression it is digitally scanned. Our dentist uses this scan to custom-design your crown. The design is sent to our on-site CEREC machine where your crown will be made from a pre-shaded block of porcelain. Once milled, the crown is hand-finished before being tried and fitted in your mouth. The process will take approximately one to two hours. While your crown is being made, we invite you to sit back and enjoy something on Netflix or simply relax in our beautifully designed practice.
